Medicine for miracles (Miracle medicine) was created in 2016 to bridge the gap between the poorest community members in Papoli, Uganda and Papoli Community Health Centre’s inability to distribute medicines free of charge to those in dire need.  The goal was to provide de-worming for malnourished children and malaria medications for children and elderly in the village who have no resources and are not able to pay even a minimal charge.  By providing much needed malaria medication for free, this program funded by our partners Village Partners International (VPI) was implemented to save the lives of the most vulnerable members of the community, the children and elderly.

It was also created to provide a means for children to remain healthy and stay in school, which is vital toward changing the future for these youths. In 2016, a total of 336 school children and 52 community children were given worming medications, vitamins and malarial treatment as needed. 102 community adults were also assisted. 207 widows and widowers were given special attention as they make up the poorest and most under served in the community. A total of 264 cases of malaria were treated. The miraclemedicine clients were further issued with insurance cards which can be used to access all medical services offered at the facility at absolutely no cost.
